The Antisemitic Boston Transit Authority (MBTA) Strikes Again, AFDI Responds

The Boston transit authority (MBTA) has accepted another vicious antisemitic campaign to run on Boston subway platforms.  This is not the first blood libel against the Jews that Boston authorities have run..

This is the same antisemitic authority that refused to run our pro-Israel ads after they ran a different Jew hating campaign. We are currently embroiled in a lawsuit against the MBTA for violating our first amendment rights. They should also be sued for racist based Jew hatred. They allow vicious libels but refuse a Jewish defense ad.

We have submitted our Islamic Jew-hatred ads to run on Boston buses and subways. Help us get these ads up. CONTRIBUTE HERE.

'Ads Against Apartheid' campaign challenges Israel's commitment to peace, asking 'does Israel want peace… or land?' YNET News, June 7, 2014

Boston's transportation authority (MBTA) last week approved a subway ads campaign by the NGO Ads Against Apartheid that challenges Israel's commitment to peace.

"Does Israel want peace… or land?" the ads ask, calling on the US to end its support of "Israeli apartheid."

One of the ads claims Israel has demolished over 25,000 Palestinian homes since 1967, while another features the 150 Jewish settlements built in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

A third ad displays statistics about the level of violence it says the IDF perpetrates: "Israel has killed 1 Palestinian child every 4 days since 2000."

"The ads simply state the facts and are backed up with citations from credible human rights and international organizations, including the United Nations," said Chadi Salamoun, the president of Ads Against Apartheid, who added that "if the ads are shocking, that’s because the reality on the ground is shocking."

Richard Colbath-Hess, a Jewish-American faculty member at the University of Massachusetts, and the co-founder of Ads Against Apartheid, noted that "American tax dollars help the Israeli government maintain an incredibly brutal military occupation, which has denied the Palestinian people their basic rights for decades. These ads show what Israel’s occupation and apartheid really look like, and it is important for Americans to see that."
